The local area around Lords Farm Ruckinge is filled with amazing walks and cycle rides.

An excellent walk for both dogs and owners is along the byway that passes through the site and meets The Royal Military Canal about a mile away.

Laminated footpath route cards of walks within the Parish of Ruckinge and Hamstreet are available.

These range from walks on the flat marshland of a couple of miles to longer ones of six miles taking in parts of the Hamstreet Nature Reserve Wood and the old Saxon Shoreline.

These woods are normally at their best with bluebells mid-April to mid-May

There are food and drinking “holes” en route by way of the local pubs.
